There is an angel among us. No, she doesn’t have a halo or sprout wings or have a shimmering glow surrounding her like we see in movies and on television, instead she is a talented hair and makeup stylist for film and television. I invite you to meet Angel Radefeld. Yes, Angel is her real name (in case you were wondering). She was given that name because she was born on Christmas Day. This mid-western transplant has been doing Hollywood hair and makeup for five years.

If you think Angel started carving her career path for Hollywood success as a "Girl Friday," you’re sadly mistaken. She started as her own boss at just four-years-old, when Angel styled her grandmother’s wigs. Angel’s helpful grandfather made it easy for her to reach the wigs by actually wearing them as she began to perfect her craft. As a 1993 graduate from Lawrence Beauty Academy in Lawrence, Kansas, Angel has been making her mark all over the big and small screen. She is currently working on "The District" (aired on CBS) and has belted-out other projects including the soon to be released "Leprechaun 6" (starring Tangi Miller), "Beethoven 5" (starring Faith Ford), "Going Greek" (Susan Ward), E! Network’s "Talk Soup," "Daily News" and "True Hollywood Story," Style Network’s "Looks For Less" and "Glow" (starring Lynda Lopez) as well as a plethora of music videos and commercials (including Pepsi starring Britney Spears).

The guardian Angel of hair and makeup has received extensive training over the years to perfect her craft from Toni and Guy (Texas), Aveda (Minneapolis), Pivot Point (Kansas City, MO), Redken (Chicago), L’Oreal (Chicago) and Sexy Hair Concepts (Los Angeles).

Where does Angel see herself five years from now? "I want to help educate and be a mentor for up-and-coming stylists and still be working in Hollywood," she says. "I’m determined to make it happen." During her time away from the sets, she enjoys hiking and yoga.
